NATIONAL PARK

The management and staff of the Hotel Simenti would like to welcome you to a place deep in the bush of Senegal. 

We are situated right next to the River Gambia, but far from human habitation.  Hence it is eco tourism at its best.

The park is home to a variety of species.  More than 330 birds, 1500 vegetation, 80 mammals, 60 fish, 36 reptiles and 20 amphibians.  A diverse fauna supporting lion, hyaena, leopard, wild dog, hartebeest, derby eland, various antelope, chimpanzee, crocodiles, as well as the hippopotamus.
Birds include the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, the fish eagle and the Egyptian Plover.
